Social consensus atmosphere must be created in order to solve economic problems in Turkey. Taking into consideration the opinions of people and various social parts through nongovernmental organizations and trade bodies in every subject of economy will help to find rational solutions under current conditions. Thus general consent and approval of all social parts can only be achieved in such an atmosphere of participation and dialogue.

The basis of “economic consensus” culture involves; overcoming the confidence problems among various social parts, political actors, administrative layers and public; overcoming the hesitations and transforming the doubts into reciprocal confidence; sharing the wealth and burden on the basis of justice; putting no social part under an unbearable burden; and enabling those taking part in production process to obtain fair share to the extent they contribute to the production, for solving the economic problems.

Taxation of income and providing of sustainability in production in order to enable state to survive have a vital importance. Therefore mitigating of taxes and similar burdens over production, taxation of untaxed incomes are under state’s responsibility in economic consensus. Providing the farmers with the fair payment for their crops and removing the obstacles in front of the tradesmen are indispensable elements of economic consensus.
